Tom is a Principal with Cranshaw and is a member of the four-person Executive Committee that leads the firm.
Tom’s specialty is in the complex and mechanically-intensive realm of lab construction, both core and shell as well as tenant fit-out. Tom is currently leading the 99 Coolidge project, a 400,000 SF, five-story life science facility with an accompanying 525-car parking garage in Watertown, MA. Tom also acts as the Owner’s Project Manager on 15 Necco, a 300,000 SF life science/office building in the Fort Point area of Boston, MA, being developed by a partnership of Alexandria Real Estate Equities and National Development as the new Lilly Institute for Genetic Medicine. Tom served as the OPM managing the interface between the owner and general contractor for core and shell construction of the $155M, 450,000 SF Longwood Center. Also within the Longwood Medical Area of Boston, MA, Tom led a two-phase fit-out of offices and wet and dry lab space at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Tom has additionally led healthcare, mixed-use, hotel and industrial projects, most notably the seven-building Ink Block development in the South End of Boston, MA which includes the high-rise 7INK finished in 2022; the Waterstone and AC Hotel in the Cleveland Circle neighborhood of Boston, MA; as well as the MarketStreet development in Lynnfield, MA.
Tom is an alumnus of the Wentworth Institute of Technology. With 20 years at Cranshaw, he has devoted two-thirds of his career to the firm.
