Subsequent to updating the budget and schedule, we provide pricing updates at the Design Development and GMP stages. Pricing is reconciled against previous pricing and value engineering techniques are employed, as needed. Between the design milestones, we attend design meetings and provide estimating and schedule updates to assist the team in decision-making. Based upon the trade and information available, our pricing updates are based upon both in-house estimates and subcontractor feedback. Plans and specifications are reviewed throughout the design process for constructability, means and methods of construction, and to make sure that product types are compatible with budget, schedule and manpower. We work proactively with the Owner and design team to identify areas of cost and schedule risk early on in a project and bring multiple alternatives that enable a project to stay on track.
