BOSTON EAST

EAST BOSTON, MA

Boston East is residential community occupying a 7.4 acre parcel of land, and consists of a six-story residential building of approximately 240,000 SF with one level of partially below-grade 115-car garage. The project included 200 studio to three-bedroom units with six units of ground floor artist live/work/sell space, a community art gallery and historic interpretive exhibits. A fifth floor amenity space with outdoor patio area overlooks Boston’s Inner Harbor with panoramic views of Charlestown, Boston’s Historic North End and the Financial District.

Site work included a reconstructed sea wall, a twelve-foot wide Harborwalk along the full length of the project shoreline, a kayak launch, and an elevated terrace. The project also included the construction of a new 60″ storm drainage outfall pipe with tide gate and water quality structure, which discharges into the Boston Harbor. Boston East is less than a six-minute walk to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Maverick station on the Blue Line.
