As the general contractor for the Home Base Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, Cranshaw is proud to be part of an innovative project that revolutionizes the treatment of veterans’ mental health issues. Developed in partnership with the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital, the organization is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of post-9/11 veterans, offering world-class care, wellness, education and research.
Located in Constitution Wharf, the clinic features a client-focused approach with 20 counseling treatment rooms, three group therapy rooms, exam rooms, lab space, a Family/Patient Lounge, demonstration/teaching kitchen, recording studio, music/art therapy room, 1,500 SF Fitness Center and an outdoor deck with a healing garden. The inviting “living room” aesthetic creates a comforting atmosphere, promoting open communication and healing.
The facility prioritizes accessibility, including the fitness center, to accommodate service members with physical disabilities. Professional support spaces streamline workflow, prioritizing the well-being of clients. This project provides a state-of-the-art space that empowers veterans on their journey to recovery and supports their mental health needs.
