Upper Falls Greenway Splash Park Groundbreaking
The Newton community gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new fully accessible splash park, a key feature of the Northland Newton Development in Newton Upper Falls. Located adjacent to the Upper Falls Greenway, the splash park promises to be a vibrant space for fun, family, and community connection.
The splash park, part of a broader community park project, was designed in collaboration with the Newton Department of Parks, Recreation, and Culture, which will also manage and operate the park. Situated just southeast of the intersection of Oak Street and Chestnut Street, this new amenity is set to enhance recreational opportunities in Newton Upper Falls for residents of all ages.
Construction is scheduled for completion by June 2025, just in time for families to enjoy a summer of fun.
This groundbreaking event marked another milestone in the ongoing partnership between Northland and the City of Newton, reinforcing their shared commitment to fostering community spaces that promote connection, recreation, and accessibility.
