Travis Smith Promoted to Project Executive
Cranshaw Construction has promoted Travis Smith to Project Executive.
Travis joined Cranshaw in 2013 and has steadily advanced through the organization, most recently serving as Senior Project Manager. In his new role, he brings more than a decade of leadership experience delivering complex residential, mixed-use, senior living, and commercial projects across Massachusetts and beyond.
During his tenure at Cranshaw, Travis has played a key role on several notable projects, including Lakeside Apartments Phases 1 and 2 in Worcester. The multi-phase redevelopment will deliver both rental and ownership affordable housing and emphasizes sustainability through Passive House design, all-electric systems, rooftop solar, and EV charging infrastructure. Travis also served as a leader on District 120 in Worcester, an 83-unit affordable housing development constructed on the former Table Talk Pies manufacturing site adjacent to Polar Park.
Travis’s portfolio spans a wide range of building types and delivery methods. His experience includes Waterstone at Lexington, a $74 million senior living campus featuring independent living residences and extensive amenities; Meadow Walk in Sudbury, a 50-acre mixed-use redevelopment that included retail, infrastructure improvements, and a memory care facility; and the 125/133 Sumner Street housing in East Boston. He has also led complex renovations and tenant fit-outs in fully occupied buildings, demonstrating a strong ability to manage logistics, coordination, and stakeholder communication.
Prior to joining Cranshaw, Travis held progressive roles at J&J Contractors, Inc., where he worked on a diverse set of public and private projects. His earlier experience includes institutional, municipal, and federal work completed across New England and the Midwest.
“Trust is a core value at Cranshaw, and Travis consistently delivers on it,” said Cranshaw Principal Chris Iannelli. “Through his hands-on approach and genuine commitment to clients, he has helped turn long-term relationships into lasting partnerships. He represents the kind of leader our culture is built around.”
Travis holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Congratulations to Travis on this well-deserved promotion.
