Six people ceremonially cutting a blue ribbon

NEIT Vet Tech Facility Grand Opening

The unveiling of New England Institute of Technology’s brand-new Vet Tech Learning Lab took place on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 1-1:30 pm at their East Greenwich, RI location. The ribbon cutting ceremony was a proud moment as the state-of-the-art facilities were officially introduced to students, local dignitaries, employer partners, and NEIT representatives.

This $3 million, 11,000 SF space is designed to address the shortage of veterinary technicians by expanding capacity in NEIT’s Associate in Science degree program and providing students with cutting-edge veterinary technology.

Constructed by Cranshaw, the space features an operating room, nursing laboratories, surgical suites, dental laboratories, computer labs, and classrooms. Additionally, Cranshaw’s work included a gated loading/unloading area at the rear loading dock and a fenced-in animal relief area.

Assistant Superintendent Jackson Bennett, an NEIT alum, holds a special connection to the project, having started his career with Cranshaw as a co-op during Cranshaw’s construction of the campus’ residence hall.

Thanks to the entire subcontracting team, including:
